John Hiller, making his fifth start since switching from the bullpen, yielded only four hits, struck out 12 and pitched the Tigers to a 7-2 victory over the Blue Jays. Tito Fuentes knocked in two runs with a triple, Rusty Staub accounted for a pair with a sacrifice fly and double and Milt May homered in the Tigers' attack. The Blue Jays scored their runs on round-trippers by Ron Fairly and Doug Rader. Rader's blow was his first in the A. L. [The Sporting News]
