. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Facing his former club, Glenn Abbott yielded only five hits and pitched the Mariners to a 3-1 victory over the Athletics. The complete game was Abbott's first since 1975. Bob Stinson drove in two runs with a bases-loaded single in the second inning to start the Mariners' scoring. After an error resulted in the A's run in the third, Dan Meyer homered for the Mariners in the fourth. [The Sporting News]
