Two homers by Richie Hebner and one each by Greg Luzinski and Mike Schmidt produced nine runs and powered the Phillies to an 11-5 victory over the Braves, who had a pair of two-run blows by Jeff Burroughs. Hebner started the slugging with a solo shot in the second inning. Luzinski's homer followed a double by Jay Johnstone and pass to Schmidt in the third. Hebner's second swat of the game came with two men on base in the seventh. Schmidt joined in the attack with a two-run drive in the eighth. [The Sporting News] |
