Ron Pruitt singled and scored with two out on a single by Duane Kuiper. After John Lowenstein walked, Jim Norris singled to drive in the winning run. Fred Kendall hit a two-run single for the Indians in the first inning and Jason Thompson homered with a man on base for the Tigers in the third to highlight the game's earlier scoring.
