The Angels, after trailing, 6-2, came from behind to defeat the White Sox, 10-6. The White Sox built up their lead with five runs in the fifth inning, including a homer by Lamar Johnson and two-run triple by Jack Brohamer. The Angels cut their deficit to 6-5 with three runs in the sixth and then erupted for five in the seventh.

 After the tying tally counted on a wild pitch with the bases loaded, Don Baylor was passed intentionally to fill the sacks again. Bobby Bonds broke the tie with a two-run single and Terry Humphrey clinched the decision with a single for the final pair. [The Sporting News]
