While Larry Hisle provided the most power, driving in five runs with a double and homer, the Twins also had circuit clouts by Craig Kusick and Lyman Bostock to defeat the White Sox 7-6. Hisle drove in two runs with his double in the first inning and three with his homer in the second, raising his league-leading RBI total to 70.

Kusick's clout came in the fifth. The White Sox, who had homers by Oscar Gamble, Jim Essian and Lamar Johnson, rallied to tie the score at 6-6 before Bostock's belt in the eighth decided the game in the Twins' favor. [The Sporting News]
