The Angels failed to score for Frank Tanana for the third time this season and the ace southpaw wound up losing to the Rangers, 1-0, when Ken Henderson hit a homer with two out in the 10th inning. Tanana gave up five hits, the same number that the Angels collected off Gaylord Perry and Adrian Devine. Perry pitched eight innings and struck out 10 before yielding the mound to Devine.
