A bases-loaded triple by Rick Dempsey and two-run double by Ken Singleton enabled the Orioles to snap their six-game losing streak with a 5-2 and 3-1 sweep of a twi-night doubleheader with the Blue Jays. In the opener, the Orioles stopped their skid with four runs in the second inning. Eddie Murray singled, Tony Muser walked and Rich Dauer was safe on an error, setting the stage for Dempsey's triple. Mark Belanger's ensuing single added the fourth run.

The nightcap was decided in the fifth inning when Kiko Garcia singled, Al Bumbry walked and Singleton batted them home with his double. [The Sporting News]
