Bob Bailor and Otto Velez drove in two runs apiece with singles in the eighth inning to enable the Blue Jays to down the Rangers, 10-7. The Jays took a 6-3 lead in the fifth when Doug Rader homered with two men on base, but the Rangers came back with two runs in the eighth on a circuit clout by Bump Wills before the Blue Jays had their four-run inning. Pete Vuckovich gave up the Ranger pair in the ninth but stuck it out to complete his route-going performance. [The Sporting News]
