Homers by George Scott, Bernie Carbo and Jim Rice highlighted the Red Sox' 14-hit attack in a 7-3 victory over the Brewers. Scott hit for the circuit in the second inning. Sal Bando matched it with a blow for the Brewers in their half, but the Red Sox took the lead again with two runs in the third on a walk to Rick Burleson, triple by Fred Lynn and single by Scott.
