. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A three-run rally in the eighth inning carried the Orioles to a 6-5 victory over the Yankees. Graig Nettles hit a two-run homer and Thurman Munson added a solo swat to help the Yankees take a 5-3 lead before the Orioles opened their comeback in the eighth with a one-out single by Lee May.

Eddie Murray was safe on an error by Willie Randolph. After the runners moved up on a wild pitch by Sparky Lyle, May scored on an infield hit by Doug DeCinces. Andres Mora grounded to Nettles, but Murray beat the third baseman's throw home to score the tying run. Dave Skaggs followed with a single to drive in DeCinces with the winning marker.
