. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Doug Rader hit a two-run homer and Steve Staggs drove in two runs with a single to enable the Blue Jays to snap their five-game losing streak with a 5-3 victory over the Indians. Rader hit his homer after a single by Otto Velez in the second inning. Staggs hit his single with the bases loaded in the seventh to provide what proved to be the winning margin. Jeff Byrd gained his first major league victory with the help of Pete Vuckovich who relieved in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
