Amos Otis drove in three runs and Darrell Porter and Fred Patek batted in two apiece as the Royals defeated the Yankees, 8-4, to sweep the three-game series. Porter accounted for his RBIs with a homer in the second inning. Otis delivered a sacrifice fly in the fourth. A double by Otis and single by Patek each produced two runs in the sixth.
