Don Aase, just recalled from Pawtucket, struck out 11 in his first appearance for the Red Sox and came up a 4-3 winner over the Brewers. Singles by Butch Hobson, Denny Doyle and Rick Miller snapped a 3-3 tie in the seventh after Milwaukee had come back from a 3-0 deficit by scoring all its runs in the fifth on four singles and a sacrifice fly. The Red Sox got three in the third on sacrifice flies by Rick Burleson and Fred Lynn and Jim Rice's 26th homer. [The Sporting News]
