Tucker Ashford's second homer of the season, with Gene Tenace aboard and one out in the bottom of the ninth, lifted the Padres over the Expos, 7-5. George Hendrick hit a pair of homers for San Diego, his first in the fourth with Bill Almon on base tying the score, 2-2, and his second in the sixth following an Almon single, again knotting the game at 5-5.
