Lee Lacy's three-run pinch-homer in the eighth gave the Dodgers a come-from-behind, 7-5 triumph over the Phillies. Lacy's drive, following a single by Steve Garvey and walk to Manny Mota, gave reliever Lance Rautzhan first his major league victory.

The Phillies jumped to a 4-0 advantage in the third against Don Sutton, two runs coming on Greg Luzinski's 23rd round-tripper. The Dodgers tied the score in the fourth on solo homers by Ron Cey and Steve Garvey, a hit batsman and three singles. Mike Schmidt's RBI single gave Philadelphia a 5-4 lead in the top of the eighth.
