A two-run homer by Lee May in the ninth inning lifted the Orioles to a 5-4 victory over the Mariners. The Orioles built up a 3-0 lead before the Mariners rebounded in the seventh with a homer by Bill Stein, triple by Juan Bernhardt and single by Larry Cox. Leroy Stanton then hit a two-run homer in the eighth to put the Mariners ahead, but Eddie Murray walked in the ninth and May followed with his circuit clout. [The Sporting News]
