. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Butch Wynegar hit a three-run homer and Dan Ford drove in two runs with a single and homer to lead the Twins to a 9-4 victory over the Royals. Ford produced the Twins' initial run with a single in the first inning, scoring Rod Carew, who had doubled.

Al Cowens hit three singles for the Royals, batting in as many runs, before the Twins wiped out their 3-1 deficit with four runs in the fourth. Ford started the outburst with his homer. Wynegar iced the verdict with his three-run drive in the fifth. [The Sporting News]
