. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Dave Rozema, Tigers' candidate for Rookie Pitcher of the Year, hurled a six-hitter and beat the Twins, 4-2, for his fourth straight victory and 11th of the season against four defeats. Ron LeFlore singled, stole second and scored on a single by Steve Kemp for the Tigers in the first inning. After the Twins picked up a run on a single by Roy Smalley in the second, Tito Fuentes tripled and scored on an infield out that put the Tigers ahead again in the third. Rusty Staub then decided the game with a homer in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
