Dave Rozema, Tigers' candidate for Rookie Pitcher of the Year, hurled a six-hitter and beat the Twins, 4-2, for his fourth straight victory and 11th of the season against four defeats. Ron LeFlore singled, stole second and scored on a single by Steve Kemp for the Tigers in the first inning. After the Twins picked up a run on a single by Roy Smalley in the second, Tito Fuentes tripled and scored on an infield out that put the Tigers ahead again in the third.
