Breaking up a scoreless battle, Ted Sizemore singled a run home with two out in the ninth inning to give the Phillies a 1-0 victory over the Dodgers. Greg Luzinski opened the inning with a single and yielded to pinch-runner Jerry Martin, who stole second as Richie Hebner struck out. After an intentional pass to Garry Maddox, Martin took third following a long fly by Bob Boone and scored the game's only run on Sizemore's single. [The Sporting News]
