. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Capping a comeback by the Tigers, Ron LeFlore smashed a homer in the seventh inning to beat the Rangers, 6-5. The Rangers jumped off to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. Willie Horton knocked in two runs with a single and Toby Harrah followed with a homer.

The Tigers rallied for three runs in their half, two scoring on a double by Jason Thompson and one on a single by Ben Oglivie. Dave May made it 5-3 Rangers with an RBI single in the fifth, but Rusty Staub tied the score with a two-run double in the Tigers' half, setting the stage for LeFlore's winning homer.
