Doug Ault lashed three hits, including a homer, to spark the Blue Jays to a 5-3 victory over the Brewers. The Blue Jays opened the scoring with three runs in the second inning. A pass to Otto Velez, single by Ault and wild pitch by Jerry Augustine produced the first marker

 Ault scored on a single by Al Woods. After Alan Ashby also singled, Woods crossed the plate as John Scott grounded out. Ault then supplied the deciding run with his homer in the fourth. Jim Wynn batted in a pair for the Brewers with a double and sacrifice fly. [The Sporting News]
