Bobby Bonds drove in four runs with a sacrifice fly, homer and infield out to lead the Angels to a 7-3 victory over the Red Sox, who were stopped on their 11-game winning streak. Don Baylor also homered for the first of the Angels' three runs in the second inning. Bonds hit his sacrifice fly in the third, homered after a walk to Jerry Remy in the fifth and batted in Remy again with a grounder in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
