The Brewers capped an uphill struggle with two runs in the ninth inning to jolt the Rangers, 6-5. Trailing, 5-4, the Brewers filled the bases on a pinch-single by Jamie Quirk, double by Von Joshua and intentional walk to Jim Wohlford. Darold Knowles relieved Adrian Devine and induced Cecil Cooper to hit into a double play before issuing walks to Jim Wynn and Don Money to tie the score.
