Two homers by Jerry Tabb and one by Manny Sanguillen helped the Athletics defeat the Indians, 7-3. Tabb and Sanguillen homered in succession in the second inning. Tabb rapped his second round-tripper in the fourth. In addition to his homer, Sanguillen produced RBIs with a grounder in the fifth and single in the seventh. Vida Blue ended his personal four-game losing streak, scattering nine hits, including a two-run homer by Andre Thornton. [The Sporting News]
