Two homers by Jerry Tabb and one by Manny Sanguillen helped the Athletics defeat the Indians, 7-3. Tabb and Sanguillen homered in succession in the second inning. Tabb rapped his second round-tripper in the fourth. In addition to his homer, Sanguillen produced RBIs with a grounder in the fifth and single in the seventh.
