The Expos rolled up a 13-0 victory to shatter the Phillies' 13-game winning streak. Gary Carter smashed two homers and Tony Perez added one in the Expos' 17-hit attack. Steve Carlton gave up four runs in the second inning, all unearned as the result of an error by Ted Sizemore, before Perez singled and Carter hit his first homer of the game in the third.
