Helped by Bobby Murcer, who hit two homers, Rick Reuschel gained his first victory since July 28 when the Cubs defeated the Pirates, 4-2. Murcer broke a 1-1 tie with his first homer of the game in the fourth inning and iced the decision with his second smash in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
