The Royals' club record 10-game winning streak was stopped by the Orioles, 4-2. Andres Mora and Rich Dauer each drove in two runs for the Orioles. Lee May singled, Doug DeCinces doubled and both scored on a single by Mora in the sixth inning. Dauer added the other pair with a double in the seventh after a single by Dave Skaggs and double by Al Bumbry.
