Jim Wohlford singled in the fourth inning and scored with two out on a double by Ed Kirkpatrick to give the Brewers a 1-0 victory over the Tigers behind the pitching of Jerry Augustine and Eduardo Rodriguez. Augustine, who allowed only five hits, was removed after Milt May singled with one out in the ninth. Rodriguez retired the last two batters. [The Sporting News]
