Coming out of the bullpen for his first start since August 7, Marty Pattin pitched a five-hitter and posted his seventh straight win as the Royals defeated the Brewers, 6-2. Pattin held the Brewers scoreless on three hits until Cecil Cooper doubled and Don Money homered in the ninth. The Royals were led at bat by Al Cowens, who drove in three runs with a pair of singles.
