The Dodgers, who hit three homers in the previous night's game, smacked three more and escorted Tommy John to an 8-2 victory over the Pirates. Reggie Smith started the bombardment with a drive in the first inning. Then in the fourth, after Steve Garvey and Vic Davalillo reached base with infield hits, Dusty Baker and Yeager homered in succession.
