Pinch-hitting in the eighth inning, Terry Crowley delivered a grand slam as the Orioles defeated the Indians, 7-1, behind the two-hit hurling of Rudy May. The Orioles, who went into the eighth with a 2-1 lead, began the inning with a homer by Lee May. A double by Doug DeCinces and two walks then loaded the bases for Crowley's homer off Larry Andersen in relief of Al Fitzmorris. May gained his career high 16th victory. [The Sporting News]
