A single by Doug DeCinces in the 11th inning climaxed a two-run rally and brought the Orioles a 6-5 victory over the Indians. The Orioles, after picking up a run in the fifth, went ahead, 4-0, when Andres Mora homered with two men on base in the seventh, but the Indians rallied to tie the score in the ninth. John Lowenstein, pinch-hitting, accounted for one run with a double and, after remaining in the game, smashed a homer in the 11th.

The Orioles began their rally with a single by Pat Kelly and pass to Tony Muser. Mike Dimmel laid down a sacrifice and Eddie Murray followed with a single, driving in Kelly to tie the score. DeCinces then whacked a drive that hit the right-field wall on one bounce as Muser waltzed across the plate with the winning run. [The Sporting News]
