. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Jimmy Sexton collected four straight hits and Kevin Pasley, making his first appearance with the Mariners, knocked in the tie-breaking run with a single in a 6-4 victory over the Rangers. Sexton hit a triple, double and two singles. Mike Hargrove and Jim Sundberg homered for the Rangers.

After Sundberg's smash tied the score at 4-4 in the sixth inning, Sexton doubled and crossed the plate on a single by Pasley, who had been acquired from the Dodgers. Dan Meyer iced the Mariners' victory with a homer in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
