Ed Herrmann and Bob Watson whacked two-run homers and Gene Pentz picked up the victory with four innings of hitless relief as the Astros defeated the Giants, 6-3. Herrmann, who also hit two singles, rapped his first homer of the season after a double by Watson in the sixth to tie the score at 3-3. Watson smashed the tie with a homer in the seventh following a single by Jose Cruz. [The Sporting News]
