While Geoff Zahn pitched a six-hitter, Lyman Bostock, Rod Carew and Butch Wynegar accounted for seven hits among them and led the Twins to a 7-2 victory over the White Sox. Carew, who had two hits, batted in a run with a triple in the first inning and scored himself on a balk. Wynegar drove in two runs with a pair of singles. Bostock hit a double and two singles.
