. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Blue Jays pounded out a club-record six doubles en route to a 6-5 victory and a doubleheader split with the Indians. Dennis Eckersley reached a career high in season victories in notching his 14th win as the Tribe won the opener, 6-3. After spotting the Jays a 1-0 lead on Al Woods' homer in the first inning, the Indians took the lead to stay with two runs in the bottom of the inning on a two-out RBI single by Andre Thornton and Bruce Bochte's triple.
