Joe Rudi, bouncing back from a broken wrist suffered last June, paced the Angels to a 3-2 victory over the A's. The leftfielder doubled home the tying run in the bottom of the first inning and hit a home run in the third. Chris Knapp, acquired from the White Sox over the winter, received credit for the win but needed late-inning relief help from Dyar Miller and Dave LaRoche. [The Sporting News]
