The Angels, with a team batting average of only .204 entering the game, broke loose with a 12-hit barrage against three Seattle pitchers and registered a 7-3 verdict over the Mariners. Don Baylor hit a two-run homer in a four-run third inning and Brian Downing followed with a solo blast.
