The Braves snapped their four-game losing streak with a 1-0 triumph over the Giants as Preston Hanna and Adrian Devine combined for a one-hitter. The lone Giant hit was a single by Johnnie LeMaster in the third inning.

But LeMaster's throwing error paved the way for the game's only run when the Giants' shortstop threw away Jerry Royster's roller in the fourth inning. Royster stole second, went to third on a long fly to center and scored on a double by Jeff Burroughs. [The Sporting News]
