. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Seventh-inning singles by Dave Cash and Andre Dawson broke a 3-3 tie and gave the Expos their fifth consecutive victory, a 5-3 decision over the Cardinals. The winning rally began when reliever Mark Littell, who had just entered the game, walked Larry Parrish. After a sacrifice by Rudy May, Warren Cromartie was given an intentional walk.

Cash then singled for one run and Dawson followed with another single for an insurance tally. The Expos tied the game in the sixth when Dawson tripled and scored on Gary Carter's sacrifice fly. Roger Freed had given the Cardinals the lead with a two-run homer in the top of the sixth. [The Sporting News]
