. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Batting around, the Indians scored four runs in the eighth inning on five singles, a walk and an error to defeat the A's, 6-2. Willie Horton, who rapped a single during the outburst, also had a double and homer in the game.

The loss went to John Henry Johnson, his first of the season, after two shutout victories, one a complete game. The A's managed only three hits, all off Don Hood, who pitched the first seven innings for the Indians. Mike Paxton finished. [The Sporting News]
