After trailing, 5-0, the Royals rallied to defeat the Brewers, 7-6, and snap a three-game losing streak. The Royals cut their deficit to one run before Cecil Cooper homered in the eighth inning to put the Brewers ahead, 6-4. In the Royals' half, Amos Otis, John Wathan, Freddie Patek and Frank White hit consecutive singles to tie the score and Pete LaCock followed with a sacrifice fly to drive in the winning run.
