After failing to win in his four previous starts, Nolan Ryan fired a two-hitter, struck out 11 and pitched the Angels to a 5-0 victory over the Blue Jays. The shutout was the 35th of Ryan's career and the two-hitter was his 12th to go along with four no-hitters and five one-hitters.
