Aided by an error, the Mets ended their six-game losing streak with a 6-4 triumph over the Reds. The score was tied, 4-4, in the fourth inning when Joel Youngblood walked to lead off. Doug Flynn singled sharply to left and George Foster was charged with an error when the ball skipped past him to the wall. Youngblood scored and Flynn reached second on the play.
