The Expos shaded the Astros, 2-1, as Rudy May, getting effective relief help from Stan Bahnsen, got credit for the victory. Andre Dawson's solo homer gave the Expos a run in the fourth inning and asingle by Ellis Valentine followed by a wild pitch and single by Chris Speler plated what proved to be the winning run in the seventh. Cesar Cedeno led off the Astro ninth with a round-tripper and after the Astros put a runner on second with one out, Bahnsen came on and got the final two outs.
