Completing the three-game sweep of the series, the Angels pounded out 21 hits in routing the Indians, 16-3. Six consecutive singles in the second inning sent Tribe starter Rick Waits to an early shower.

The Angels entered the series with a .225 team batting average but feasted off Indian hurling, collecting 41 hits in the three games. Indian first baseman Wayne Cage homered in the fourth inning for his first major league hit. [The Sporting News]
