. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A double by Rod Gilbreath in the seventh inning lifted the Braves to a 2-1 triumph over the Expos. With the score tied, 1-1, Cito Gaston led off the Braves' seventh with a single and Rowland Office, inserted as a pinch-runner, advanced to second on a sacrifice by Biff Pocoroba. Gilbreath followed with a double down the left field line to score Office.

Brian Asselstine hit a solo homer to give the Braves a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but the Expos tied the score in the bottom of the frame when Warren Cromartie walked, went to third on a single by Dave Cash and scored on Gary Carter's sacrifice fly. [The Sporting News]
