Tommy John doubled home two runs in his own behalf to highlight a five-run, fourth-inning outburst and Davey Lopes and Ron Cey added two-run homers in leading the Dodgers to a 10-1 rout of the Pirates. John and Steve Yeager each drove in a pair of runs in the fourth frame when the Dodgers sent 10 men to the plate.

Lopes hit a two-run homer in the third and Cey added a two-run shot in the seventh. Lee Lacy also homered for the Dodgers in the eighth as a pinch-hitter for Lopes. [The Sporting News]
