Pounding out 14 hits against four pitchers, the Cubs enjoyed a 10-1 breeze over the Reds. Rick Reuschel retired the first 11 Reds before Joe Morgan singled in the ninth inning. The Reds' lone tally came in the eighth on bunt singles by Pete Rose and Ken Griffey and a single by Morgan.
